The new show "Truck Night In America" on the History channel is pretty damn cool. All off-road stuff/races with real peoples rigs.

That was the point. The bars (cage) looks well done. Window net and all.

That's really not a bad deal. That mild steel cage should certify to 8.50. With a few more floor bars and a funny car cage it could certify to 7.50.
I would ditch the diagonal bar on the 4 link and install a wish bone and an anti roll bar (didn't see one in the pics). It has the potential to be a great pro or super pro car..or even a good heads up 6.0-6.50 index car.
Whoever buys it is really getting a good deal

Got the new motor torn down. Couldn’t find any evidence of rod knock that it supposedly had when last started 9 years ago. Other than the outside looking like hell the innards are clean. Calling machine shop this week to see if he’s still open for business. Otherwise I’m looking for a machine shop!

I am not exactly sure where brownswhitonion is exactly.

Is that a Vortec. Some of them had severe piston knock.

This was a early 90’s TBI motor from a truck. Had the horrific tbi heads and the worlds smallest camshaft. Seriously the journals are larger than the lobes. Pistons had normal wear patterns on the skirts.

Ive used Kevin up at Head Solutions for years up here in Whitestown. I’ve still got his magnet and planned on calling him tomorrow
