“I don’t think it (Identity Politics) is a great way to try and build consensus or bring people together or get big policies across the finish line. And I think it’s kind of a stupid way to win elections.” - Andrew Yang

He does seem willing to flip positions at any given moment to appeal to whatever he thinks will work

Joe Biden's flip-flop on the Hyde Amendment reeks of insincerity

He’s trying to have it both ways. He knows it’s unreasonable to force people who think abortion is immoral, at least at some level is the majority of people. But it’s not just a violation of Overton’s Window to make those people pay for abortions. It’s immoral to pass the consequences of irresponsible behavior to the responsible people.

But. Running for the Democrats, who have moved far left of him, he has to pander to them. Inthink his poll numbers would have increased if he’d have just said, no. I still support the Hyde amendment and here’s why. Then make that case.

He has a platform. And instead of using it to put forth a good character he’s using it in a way that exposes his bull****ter character.

Democrat candidate Andrew Yang went on Dave Rubin's show.

Here he is opposing open borders:

Here he is agreeing that a $15 minimum wage hurts workers:

Here he suggests that UBI is the solution to AI, automation, and a jobless future:

Here on how he's against Identity Politics:

Not saying vote for the guy, just showing not everyone in the race is too crazy. Though I still don't agree with UBI.

The article is from MSN. The source of the comment is a "White House official." I have no issues believing that what MSN reported is accurate; White House officials, on the other hand....

Pure Kut! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA . Oh, my side hurts now!

Seriously, Kut, you know that if MSN had any possible counter to the "White House official" they would have been touting that right up front.

Which makes it odd that I'm hearing more about him than any other candidate (aside from Biden).

I guess it's all those dark web types that I follow that are interested in him.
Compared with the rest of the Democrats he’s the sanest. But I think he’s full of **** on the UBI. I kinda think he’s over-paranoid about AI’s impact on the job market. But definitely he’s full of **** on UBI being the best answer. I don’t think UBI is compatible with human nature, but then I also don’t think AI running in everything is either. Humans are in for a wild ride, I think. But the job market is the least of it.

Ok, that's not a picture, still patriotic ...

Jon Stewart speaks in front of (mostly empty)Congress on behalf of 9/11 first responders.

You might not agree with all his political views but that was a great speech IMO.

Saw parts of it on the news this morning, and while I don't agree with him on much, he was right on on this. And the fact that most of the congress members that should have been there and weren't was pretty disgusting. I'm sure they had more important things to do... you know, like looking for imaginary transgressions to pin on Trump. "Screw the first responders! We lost the election in 2016 and we must exact our revenge!" And to be fair, I don't know what proportion of the "missing" were Republicans. Still disgusting, and no excuse for it.

    WTF is the Hatch Act?

A silly throw-away term to try and get rid of people you don't like. Similar to that other "act" that was thrown around a bunch a couple years ago... can't remember which one it was...

Edit: Logan act, that's the one.

The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials,[1] from engaging in some forms of political activity.

It should be noted that the guy whom and the recommendation, is the president's own nominee to head the Special Counsel position. So it's one of his own guys.

    Trump said:
After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas. She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas - she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been excellent press secretary and has been very tough on the front lines in taking abuse from Democrats/media. She will be hard to replace.
