Meanwhile the grocery shopping panic is in full bloom with the grocery stores overwhelmed by shoppers who apparently keeps no more than 7 hours worth of food in their pantry??? Drove past Meijer on US30, Stracks on 41 and Aldi and the parking lots were full with people driving up and down looking for spots.

Seriously how do these panic shoppers even survive the night? Do they shop every day and keep their cupboards bare?

Crown Point Aldi had a couple of gallons of water and several half gallons of milk. No regular bread, but other bready stuff like buns, croissants, and english muffins were available. They had eggs, cheese, meat, and plenty of produce. They had a limit of 3 on any one item. I like their brand of seltzer water that is 2.49 for 12 cans, so I'm stocking up on that. Water should not be an issue anyway, but can't hurt.

This is where I feel superior for having cut bread out years ago and reducing my dairy intake by 90%.

Eggs, on the other hands, but so far, so good.

Dad just brought up another 4 dozen farm fresh this past weekend at the kid's birthday party. We are well stocked on butt nuggets.

Save-a-Lot in Kouts had eggs for 0.69 a dozen over the weekend. We got three dozen. I'll eat them. Since I don't eat bread, I got greedy and bought six packages of low carb tortillas at Stracks and put three in the freezer. That was last week before they were rationing.

What was I doing in Kouts, you ask? Drove all the way to Bailey's and only spent $11. Whole different ball game if you don't buy any candy. LMFAO They really didn't have much else. We always stop at Save-a-Lot on the way back.
