Here’s the two that I shot today after they’ve been cleaned and before putting them back in the safe. I’m really liking the PA 1-6x Raptor. My only grip is that the method of adjusting the dials to zero them after dialing the optic in does not give a lot of confidence that they will remain adjusted. I much prefer set screws holding the caps in place over the insert method they used. The Tikka did well today once I got my **** together when dialing it in. It did not help that I forgot to bring targets along.

And now you know why I don't bother to wash my truck in the winter and spring.

I don't wash it in the summer either but that's because I'm lazy.

I was kind of surprised at how muddy the road was. I was thinking there was more gravel down than apparently there must be. I don’t mind though, as the truck looks better muddy.

    Morning all... :coffee:

I didn’t realize that you still didn’t have your rifle. Are they shipping via pony express?

They sent out an email after I ordered saying they are ~2 weeks behind in shipping... :(

I mentioned this in person today, but there was a plain jane Colt LE6920 at Inlaws & Outlaws (Gas City) for $1499. Ruger AR556 (base model) for $949.

    Prices are nucking futz!
Has anyone had good luck ordering from them recently? Looking at some 223 match they have.

Yep, I ordered some of that Norma stuff and got it in fine. Slower shipping than Champions Choice, but I got it nonetheless.

Very tempting, but I'm planning to pay the extra and buy it from Alan, since he's a site supporter and local businessman. I bought my last two scopes from him and plan to buy all of my Vortex needs from him.
Looks like Alan has both MOA and MRAD versions in stock.

Yeah. The two scopes I have are MOA and I'll probably pick up the same to keep everything consistent.

I have been tempted to cancel my Bergara order and get one of those Tikka that 88 picked up, as it would probably come in faster, but now I'm interested in the Bergara to compare it with the Tikka to see how they compare to each other.

    Morning CM

I think I've just about got myself talked into doing some major restructuring with rifles. Thinking ahead of what I will actually need and use has put some stuff in the "this can go" pile.

Got home about 30 min ago. After lunch, went and visited a friend, then checked out Highsmith in Greenfield ($549 for a plain jane Mosin 91/30???) and headed home.

Had some Eley Club match and my replacement scope from Athlon waiting for me.

Athlon warranty was excellent. Shipped Monday, they received Wed and got a brand new replacement today.
Shane Highsmith is good people - love that shop and it is well run. He is very easy to deal with.

Athlon is on all my major rifles now.

It seems I run with Velocity drop in #3 triggers and Athlon glass.

I have 2x of their Helos 6x24x50 : First is on my Daniel 16" that's rung steel @ 1000 yrds. and the

2nd on my new new Tikka TAC A1 308 24"

Another Athlon is on my 18" Precision BCM

They are lights out in my opinion.
