Just got back from ER.

They gave me antibiotics and made me feel like a hypochondriac.

This is my fried cornbread recipe:

2 cup yellow self rise *or* plain cornmeal & your preferred leavening agent
1/2 tsp salt
2 cup buttermilk
2 egg
1 stick melted butter

Whisk wet ingredient together. Pour into dry ingredient. Fold gently until combined. Pour gently into lightly greased cast iron skillet @ 350F (water drops will form beads that skip around). About 3 minutes per side. Serve hot.

I like it greasy and gritty. Some people like it more cakey and/or sweet.
