Did a great deal of testing about 15+ years ago on this round especially with the 220 gr. bullet; No matter what we tried, it would string the rounds vertically at 200 yards--approx. 4" spread. Custom AR-15 barrel- cut down LC .223 cases. Fun to shoot-very quite-at that time we used an AWC...
One word of warning; High pressure suppressors for rifle applications usually will not allow use of any type fluid or coolant--it will exceed the pressure limits.
You might consider having your dealer contact them-if they will--They, the manufacturer, generally will only ship back to an FFL. If you have not already contacted the manufacturer about replacing the weapon instead of repairing it, a phone call to their customer service might help.
It was not that long ago that you could not have any machinegun in Mi. I believe they then allowed C&R. Best bet would be to contact a class 3 dealer in Mi. and ask them.
Class 7/2 can build one, register it, then transfer the weapon as an AOW. Have already gotten the OK to buy receivers directly from Remington; would need a trigger group, barrel, pistol grip, etc. to make them. Not sure if the project would be worth the time. Have had about a dozen...
Really try to decide what handguard configuration, setup, trigger, etc. you need before you buy. It can all be changed later for more $$ so try to get close the first time. Flip up front and rear sights should be one option to look at.
