Thats good he proved her wrong. Shows drive and determination.
that he has... and he loves to read which makes no sense in what she said. :dunno:
we asked for a new teacher early on but were refused so it takes a lot more on my side to get things done. He has her homework and he has my homework every night

My wife's aunt teaches 3rd grade in inner city Indy and said that the test was really simple but that most of her kids couldnt pass it. She said it was more of a comprehensive thing than just reading.

    you are fine

I understand talking to Daddy.. I called him the other day, one of the girls had dropped some flowers off at the cemetery to be planted and wanted to let him know. He insists on doing it himself, drop them off and he takes care of it.

I'm going to visit him for two days this weekend. Gonna take flowers past the cemetary on my way there. Daddy can't bring himself to go with me. I told him it's OK. I hate seeing him so upset when he would go with me.

    it is

she had the boy doing book reports twice a week to help with it. I just make him tell me what it's about when he's done.

with him I have noticed, if it doesn't interest him, he doesn't comprehend it. As soon as he reads it it is gone. :dunno:

Mrs. G. it sounds like your boy was/is a lot like me. I did OK in school, just enough to get by, because the subjects never really interested me. I would be getting A's in math and science, B's in history, and C's in English and literature classes. you can tell which classes I liked. Once I got to college I picked the classes and took what I liked. Made almost straight A's through college. Hang in there push him through it.
