So if you had your pick, what would you choose as an ultimate road trip vehicle?
Something along these lines

Looks like fun, too small for me on the road though.
With your screen name you should pick something like this.I'm not sure what I would choose for a road trip vehicle. It would be between three things: an old station wagon, 67-72 suburban or something full size drop top.
I love those cars. I wish my screen name had something to do with those, but it's bicycle related...With your screen name you should pick something like this.
So who else is gonna be here? I'm planning to drive the lemans down, shall we have an impromptu get together?

Looks like I'll be looking for a new co-pilot for that cruise on down to the Car Craft nats. Not that far off. He has knees like one.

You'll be happy to know I've got a fire under my ass to build that 400 now... Looking at parts. Will have to stroke it, which will make it a 434ci.

I do not want to put cast pieces in it and there is only one company offering a forged stock stroke 400 crank. I have been advised to avoid them. A custom one is $1900. So I will just go with the small stroker.I can understand having to bore it but why is stroke necessary? Did I miss that up-thread?

Eventually as pennies will allow. I don't beat on things, so it should hold up OK for awhile. It won't get any traction anyway. I'll only be doubling the current power, what could possibly go wrong? You gonna have to upgrade anything around that new power? Clutch? Rear-end?
