I think we both bought a 40 in the past couple days. :-)
Glad to see some posts here. I was afraid everyone was stuck in the Free Pot thread!
I'm glad that our bud, CM, shooter'ed that clown !

Yep, try selling a fotay now...
Someone just told me that they are saying that Clint Eastwood passed away today. I can't find any confirmation though. Anyone hear anything?
I am. But mine is not as nice as yours.
Hopefully, it's a false report
Yeah, but the best I've been offered so far is $550...
I will admit to looking hard at that one and telling myself I don't need another Sig, or another 40, and that I am clearing space, not adding to the overcrowded population. But that is one sharp gun.
Oh well, no harm keeping it in the safe since prices on fotays will never swing back.
Thank you. It's beautiful I just don't need it. I have a shiny 75B that meets the need for a sharp stainless gun and I have a standard railed P229 in .40 with a .357 Sig barrel that I'll likely keep. When I traded a 1911 for that shiny Sig, I put X-ray sights on it, which are way better than the standard 3 dot sights. Standard grips and no SRT trigger kit, but it's still a darn nice gun. Just not able to shoot .40 much due to wrist problems. Oh well, no harm keeping it in the safe until prices on fotays swing back.
Depending on what you have, what you need, what you want sometimes you just have to bit that bitter pill.
I say this from the position of owning too many custom AR's and needing to make some room in the safe, refund the gunfunfund and looking at new avenues toward more custom pieces. Yup I will be getting hit dead in the package when I let the 2 go we are negotiating on right now but as you say, the market has leveled out.
My theory on AR’s:
Never sell AR’s.....sell components and swap parts to morph them into what you want. Or gift them to people you like.
You take baths selling custom ARs.
You are correct but with all the things life has thrown my way I have neither the time/patience nor inclination to part them out.
Both will go to good people. I will get to abuse them again so as you say, gift them out...
Selling AR Parts is a complete pain in the ass. It worked out well for me last time though. Managed to set up meeting 3 different INGOers in about an hour. Some fun conversations to say the least.
I always have great interactions with Ingo folks.
I still have a CZ97 that I got from one of those miscreants.
FIFY
If it’s a nice gun and nobody wants to pay what you want for it, stuff it back in the safe. Those Sig p22x’s won’t ever depreciate too awful far. One of those in the safe isn’t any more risky that money in a bank.
