    So, if I hurt my shoulder and have to buy a smaller gun that is easier to draw with, can I claim that on next years tax return as durable medical equipment?

    Of course, you can claim it. Rather it will be allowed or not – that one’s on you.

    You may want to consider though that the same people may make your allowance determination that decided to deny an insurance claim because, and I quote, “oxygen: not medically necessary for treatment”.
