    It's been a rough four months.
    If you where in the US Army from 1985 to 2013 you might have known him, or heard of him.
    He was a good man. Highly intelligent, patriotic American.

    Could a Gunsmith restore that to a somewhat respectable condition?
    Did welding it ruin the receiver by weakening it?
    Demilled receivers are welded back together with good success.

    That one?? Who knows what will be found. Wouldn't be surprised if you could bust it off with hammer.

    My GUESS is that it could be salvaged...

    I would have rather he glued a scope to the fore end top cover. lol
