Perhaps a fancy .22LR to compete with your brother ?
I do already have a JC Higgins Model 31 and a Winchester model 67.

I'm still working out the scope mount for the J.C. Higgins. A friend has a Shoptask lathe/dril/mill. I'm gonna try to mill 1mm off the base of the rings I bought and that should get me going.

Spend for a 527 rifle? Maybe in 6.72x39?

Try out the new 600 series?

    or maybe a Bren 2?
How common is that caliber? I don't know alot about rifle calibers other than .223/5.56.

Plus my budget is limited until I can save a little more. I just blew my budget in Las Vegas at the pool tournament by buying a $400 carbon fiber shaft for my cue.

    In the country, hopefully.
I was having a “conversation” with someone here on the board about truck camping and they mentioned they had a CZ in .223 with a set trigger. Very accurate, great hunting rifle IIRC.
Would a set trigger be something from the factory?
Are there certain models to look for in 22-250 or 223 or 308 calibers?

Don’t listen to MM, he just wants someone to pick up this so he can shoot it

Why don’t we work it like the last deal we talked about (that apparently fell through?) where you buy it and I’ll put the gas in it?

Turbo had a CZ527 in 7.62x39 with the set trigger. I should have bought it when he moved it along. Sigh....

Had a gorgeous tiger striped stock.

IMnsHO any 527 in any caliber is worth having. Each caliber you mention has a different sets of characteristics. I see no other option but to buy all three....if you can find them.
