The latest sign of political divide: shaming and shunning public officials

...Pam Bondi, the Florida attorney general who often appears on Fox News and is closely aligned with President Trump, was shouted down at a movie screening in Tampa on Friday. “You are a horrible person,” one protester screamed at Bondi. The local newspaper reported that Bondi was escorted out of the theater by police.

Hecklers shouted “Shame!” at Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, a public face of Trump’s immigration policies, hastening her departure from a Mexican restaurant near the White House last week. Protesters even posted video of that encounter on Facebook.

Trump adviser and immigration hard-liner Stephen Miller also was confronted at a restaurant last week and called a “fascist.”

Many who disagree with the policies and tone of Trump and his administration believe silence is complicity.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) this weekend encouraged harassment of Trump officials in public spaces. She said on MSNBC that she had “no sympathy” for those serving in the administration “who know it’s wrong — what they are doing.” Waters said Trump has caused “unconscionable” damage to people and the country.

“For these members of his Cabinet who remain and try to defend [Trump], they’re not going to be able to go a restaurant, they’re not going to be able to stop as a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop a department store. The people are going to turn on them, they’re going to protest, they’re going to absolutely harass them,” Waters said.

But others, even those who vehemently oppose the administration’s politics, do not agree with such aggressive pushback.

Where in The Constitution does it grant legal protections to Illegal Invaders? It may exist; I'm just not an expert. Since you're citing The Constitution, I must assume these protections exist in it.

The Constitution tends to speak of people's rights, not citizen's rights.

But as we all know, The Constitution is a 'living, fluid document'. We can change that from peoples' rights to 'proper persons' rights, or whatever else we want it to mean. All we need is one federal judge to agree with us, an BAM, it's the new law!
