Columbus day is in a few weeks. Then you can raise one to Columbus

    :):
    Why wait?
Columbus didn't, although, it did take quite a bit of refined salesmanship, just for an Italian to stay alive in Spain at the time.
THEN, shine that salesmanship on a Queen, offering something else to spend money on while King Fernando was watching? Brave man!

Yeah, Goshen is having some “Indigenous People’s Day”…
I'm all for our indigenous peoples, we have often removed our replaced, having a day of honor to remember and share the pride of their own culture.

I grew up with quite a few natives, but it was insulting to them to be called Native Americans. Many traditionalist folk despised that. Most were fine being called Indian, because that name separated them from us.
    Don't call them Native American!
"That name has no meaning! Our names all have meaning."

There was a native band, mostly Cheyenne, that played around the rodeo circuits in Oklahoma, that had no name if you asked the name of the band. Gutsy, ballzy bunch, playing a heavy metal version of sounds with native instruments at the rodeo. Talk about silencing a rowdy crowd with great music!
They were difficult to mic up, though!

They would say, "YOU cannot name US! We are People!" Everyone called them The People.

Wonder how @KG1 has been doing. I know he’s more active in the political section. I try to stay out of there though
Yeah, I'm surprised he hasn't at least popped in here to say hi.
Hey, How do you all? Yeah I've been dabbling a bit in the GP threads. Old habits are hard to break I guess. Just passing some time.
