I got a letter telling me I had yet to enroll in the Selective Service.
They sent the letter to me in the NAVY.

    :faint:
Got one better, got a letter addressed to me in Iraq while deployed telling me to report in as I was being activated into the reserves. Gotta love it, too absurd to hate it.

:coffee: Last day of our portion of cleaning out the in-laws house. Very lucky out of the 4 siblings and spouses that there was no arguing and hassle. Tired, sore, and ready to hit the road.

Totally off-topic, but there isn’t a professional wrestling thread here?! At least, none that I could find. Surely I can’t be the only here that watches the sport.
Well, maybe the only one north of the Mason Dixon Line.

Golf is more sport than pro wrestling.
Oh, jeez. There is a level of athleticism that is required in professional wrestling. It just happens to cross a line that also includes it embracing a carnival-esque sideshow entertainment to it.

I think this is a well-written article that discusses the matter certainly better than I could.

    Yeah, you are.
Weird. This is a rather old Gallup poll, but of those surveyed 2 out of 10 Americans said they were "Wrestling fans." In this Kera News article, it states 22% of Americans own guns.

    Surely there is some overlap.

The median age of wrestlers is now a surprising 54, with All Elite Wrestling regularly hitting a viewership demographic of 18-49. So, I could understand why it's not on the radar here, 'cause the median age is, what, 83?

Just teasing you. It's just not something that ever interested me. Then again, most sports don't. The only sport I can really watch is basketball, but I haven't really watched it since the Jordan/Pippin era.

I know you were, haha! (I had a line in my post about knowing you were being tongue-in-cheek, but apparently removed it during a proofread).

    No harm, no foul!

I've been actively watching professional wrestling through a couple periods in my life. I'm not a professional wrestling zealot, but over the years I've been pulled in again via my best friends being ones. It's made for a good reason to get together and we've had some great time going to live shows. We're all itching for things to return to quasi-normal so we can hit up more events. Professional wrestling's for everyone, no doubt, but we find it tremendously fun.

Athleticism does not mean sport. Sport generally means competition. Wrestling is "entertainment".

The Armchair Network article I linked had a great take on this.
Athleticism is also required for ballet and circus tumblers. Are those sports?
Again, the Armchair Network article I linked had a great take on this.

If we're going to argue the semantics of professional wrestling at least meet me halfway!

And, look, even raccoons partake in the sport of Professional Wrestling! This raccoon is clearly going for the pin on this dog, assuredly after delivering a flying elbow, powerbomb, or hanging suplex.
