We are losing our foster son in about 6 weeks so we want to get the heck out of here for a break from reality.

The lovely Mrs Bob and I are looking to go somewhere in mid-to-late August. We wanted to ride our motorcycles to Nova Scotia, Canada but at this time that is NOT possible.

Our other thought was Route 66, but riding through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona in August just seems CRAZY STOOPID in the high heat.

I was reading the details about Canadian travel. They are relaxing SOME rules, but the border still appears to be closed to tourists.

I'm hearing great things about motorcycle riding in Nova Scotia so this is sort of depressing that it is still closed off. We are looking at many different alternatives, one of which includes riding to Maine, and having a PLAN B just in case the Canadian border opens in August for tourism.

Anyone have an ideas on a motorcycle trip that does NOT involve high heat or high humidity travel in August? We are looking for a 3000-to-4000 mile trip, probably 3 weeks of travel.

Meh... those monster can all die!

I allow the thermostat to get up to the mid 70s when I'm gone. I still want the animals to be safe and comfortable. Particularly the corgi because they're a double coated breed. When I'm home though, I want a chill in the air.

That will not work as canada will NOT allow americans or anyone else that is NOT a Canadian citizen into their country at this time. Does not matter if you have the mark or not.

The Niagara fall areas is crying about the loss of tourism about this but the central canadians. Gov does not care.

OK, looks like Mama Snap is getting sprung tomorrow. Echocardiogram today to see if there are any new cardiac developments (besides CHF, AFib, leaky valve, etc etc). They are going to monitor her oxygen overnight to see how she maintains, and possibly will recommend an outpatient sleep study to monitor air intake/output.

I came home from the hospital for a 2-3 hour break and grabbed some egg foo young and garlic chicken from Uncle Chen's for lunch/dinner.
