Framers next door put in a full day today. They showed my son and I a big 'ol bullfrog (good 8" long) in one of the window wells. Pretty sure one of them took him home and fried him up.

Slept right thru it all. Two work days till the three day weekend. One of the guys I work with will be going to his 41st in a row Indy 500 this weekend by the start/finish line.

Our seats are just down from the start/finish line, Box 9 i believe. This will be my 28th 500. I've been going since I was 15. I only missed 2 (wedding-race was the hottest on record & continual rain outs that ran on a Tuesday and u couldn't get off work again).

Yes they do. Calling for rain every day till Wednesday next week. Tomorrow afternoon they're calling for damaging winds, hail, and the possibilities of tornados.
Im showing roughly 4" of rain thru next Tuesday as of now.

Packing...hate it...the race is Sunday and we annually go shoot at the Conservation Club in SE IN. The whole state is saturated. With it being so wet, IDK. The road crosses a temporary stream and the range is probably pretty squishy. Maybe I'll take just 5 firearms incase we get rained out. Can't get there, ya can't get there.

But beans and rice require a lot of water to cook, so keep that in mind also.

55gal food grade barrels with water solve that issue.
the water will never go bad. the drum left in a dry place will outlive all of us.
