Whew. Coaching cross country meet then straight to Porter's Perfect Pint Fest for 5 hours is business. Shout out to the wife for ubering a crew to and from then putting on killer white-chicken chili while we sample some bourbon and bs back at the house. Great fall weather day.

Krispy krunchy chicken at the gas station down the road is by far the areas best fried chicken. Absolute best.

I'm still hooked on Popeye's as my crack but pass 10/65 on a regular basis so maybe I'll stop on my way to or from Purdue when I go to coach the fencers.

Heading into Chicago last night we noticed southbound was a ghost town and doty bypass was full. We came up on a car pushed to the side and about 2 dozen yellow evidence markers scattered across the road and dozens of cops.

Bronkos had a great broaated chicken as well. Sister worked there in the 80s and would bring it home all the time.

If you can get it right when they bring it out, Luke's has good chicken as well, but has to be fresh

KFC corporate got back to me. Sending me a voucher that can be used at any location. Not sure for how much. Guess I'll find out when it gets here
