I also find it a bit odd that the same guy who made the "1911s SUCK" video seems to think they're OK as a defensive pistol in this one...

But he said all guns with external safeties suck, since the 1911 has two I guess he doesn't think it's ok. :dunno:

I don't understand this guy. He seems to have some good training tips and ideas, but then he puts up a video like this one that just blows all that out of the water. I don't know if he's coming or going.

Was there anything funny enough to warrant investing 12 whole minutes in watching another Yeager vid? :dunno:

I never realized the grip safeties on 1911s and XDs were an issue....

Seriously, after many thousands of rounds through both platforms, I have never seen that issue - not one single time.

I have also NEVER seen a 1911 with the grip safety "pinned down"....

I guess I have just never seen a "real gunfighter"....

I read a report about a guy that was involved in a shooting with his 1911. I'm not sure if I saw it here or another gun website. Anyway he was having a problem during the fight with his 1911 not firing. He realized that his hand had been shot and he wasn't able to squeeze hard enough to engage the grip safety. For what it's worth I guess.

I guess I need to sell both my CZ P-01 and my XDm... dangit.

Let's see if I listen again... the only gun to meet all his criteria... is... Glock. (or maybe a newer M&P sans safety.) It's all a Glock marketing ploy. They must sponsor him. :):

Not any caliber of Glock though and not any model.
Not sure if you saw his video "all guns should be Glock, all Glocks should be 9mm, and all 9mm Glocks should be 19s".

So really he likes any gun. As long as it's a 19. Who says he isn't flexible!
