I just had weight loss surgery. I am excited to be able to go hunting again.
Endurance testing last night means 1 mile time trials... my favorite 5:51 and 5:45 with 10 minutes rest between. I'll take that after not running for the last 5 months.
The 400m repeats I did the week before, now those splits were not pretty. Dropped 14 seconds from round 1 to round 4.
I am starting to get that running bug again. I've never looked at heart rate zones before with running and I'd like to give it a shot. I don't own a fitness tracker or anything that reports heart rate, other than a finger pulse-ox. That actually does a very good job even at a full run. I'd like to see where my zones are and then make an effort to improve based on some standard training techniques, instead of just randomly running. We'll see.
My problem is I get excited about something and then go full bore and hurt myself. Going to limit to four days a week of serious running.
Ran 5k Tuesday down on the canal since it was dry out for a change. Happy to say it was my fastest 5k to date, 24:45. I could have gone faster but due to the temp and wind, it took me about 3k to get nice and warmed up.
150 wall balls Friday, half Murph on Saturday, and front squats and squat cleans today. My legs are very unhappy right now....
Starting a 4 week meal plan today, wow that took way more meal prep time than I thought it would. I'm horribly slow at prepping/cooking food.
