Stop calling the P.O.S. who murdered people “the shooter.” Call him the KILLER or MURDERER.

Eli was also a shooter. Anyone who goes to a range and fires their weapon is a shooter.

Don’t let your language put them on equal footing.

Eh. I primarily just avoid using their names, to avoid any notoriety (unless used in the context of mocking/humiliating them). If someone says "shooter", everyone knows what is meant.

Catching up here: thanks for keeping the thread between the ditches. This definitely has emotions running high, and with good reason.

@Dean Weingarten thanks for your input on the subject. We don't have someone of your profession and experience around here and it's good to have you bring your perspective. Although I see you now have 50 posts so you'll be camped out in the classifieds for the foreseeable future.

I suppose I shouldn't be shocked that a trained medical person wouldn't carry at LEAST a TQ on them.

Everyone on INGO here should take at least a "STOP THE BLEED" class or its equivalent and carry at least a little medical kit.

Each car has a basic Walmart first aid kit in the plastic case with an added TQ and a suction wound patch and an anti bleed pad. Not a complete do everything kit, but it can be of use if needed.

This story caps a building narrative nightmare for the anti-gunners.

First there was Uvalde. Cops standing around with their thumbs up their butts for an hour while kids and teachers are being shot and bleeding out. Took a Border Patrol tactical team who showed up and said eff this we're going in.

Now, days after Constitutional Carry takes effect in Indiana, a 22 year old man with no formal training and no license to carry takes 15 seconds at 30 yards to put 8 out of 10 shots into a potential mass-killer and stops him.

He is everything they tell us to fear, an untrained, unlicensed young man with a pistol. His grandfather taught him to shoot and handle a handgun. I trained extensively with law enforcement officers and I guarantee you very few of them can put 8 out of ten on a silhouette at 30 yards in 15 seconds.

Takeaway: The police will not save you. But an armed citizen WILL save you. And YOU can be that armed citizen.
