I had more fun today than in a long time from shooting a "new" gun (produced from 1987 to 1996).
Probably b/c I have always wanted the SS with adjustable sights.
I regretted selling a 422 with rear adjustable sights so I bought another 422 w/o them from Zackcz, March 2022, to take its place.
Ironically, I had just bought another 422 five days ago just for comparison fun (which I like to do) with the one I bought from Zackcz.
I posted those range pics of it doing well, but not like the row after row of 5/5 & 100% like the 2206 with adjustable sights today.
It met all expectations.
I owe all thanks to Zackcz for giving me a heads up.

The S&W 2206 is a variant of the 422: both the frame and the slide are stainless steel.
This model is noticeably heavier than the alloy frames of the 422 and 622.
The barrel is non-moving and fixed to the frame.
It came threaded from the factory, but the "barrel nut" was used to affix the barrel to the frame.
This made this pistol line perfect for use with a suppressor with an aftermarket adapter since the sights could still be utilized.
This 2206 proved to be a keeper in the non-optic .22LR category on the 1st day!
1st rounds on 1.75" circles then th 3/4" red dots, adjusting the rear sights along the way.
Top middle red dot & bottom right red dot started showing its potential.
9/10 1.74" circles showed I was getting in the grove & really enjoying myself.
CCI SV ammo did well.
I just had to try the Federal AutoMatch & Armscor I brought with me.
I couldn't believe after doing nine 5/5 on the last page that I had a flyer on the 1st circle!
Then again, last row, 1st circle!
