I wondered about that. Do you have first hand experience with it? Curious to know how hard it is to draw from the drinking tube and bite valve with one of the Sawyer filters in-line.
I started with a Jetboil and liked it. However, after a lot of thought I went to a Pocket Rocket (yeah still have the fuel cans) and a titanium pot and pan for the simple reason of; I can cook up something fast on the Pocket Rocket if need be, or, use the pot or pan on a fire pit if time &...
The synthetic insulation does not smell when wet, if it's just water. I have not noticed much of an odor from wet down.
Wet merino wool is however a different story. Smells like wet dog until it dries.:):
It is quickly approaching the point where the kid who mows lawns will have to file for environmental impact statements for operating a mower and compliance with sunshine laws if he leaves the grass too high. Our system is based on capitalism and hard work. Going after kids for selling cookies...
That's probably a real good idea on almost all bags. I think a lot of the problem with clumping is how the bag is made and the insulation that is used. I have not had any problem with clumping with the Climashield insulation, which is continuous fiber, not chopped up as I understand some of...
One other issue is the detergent you wash the bag with. I've had very good luck with Woolite and a front-loading washer set on hand wash cycle. Then throw it in the dryer at the lowest heat setting. Seems to do just fine with the Wiggy's bags. That Climashield insulation is good stuff!
Positive reinforcement does work. When the Starbucks stink was going on I talked to a manager and told her thank you. Even though WI was not affected by this, you would have thought I had proposed to her. She got a great big smile on her face and said thank you, so much. "We've had a lot of...
The Jawa Report: Dear Wisconsin Dr: Never Write a Bogus Sick Excuse to a Tea Party Person
There have also been some complaints from local clinics too. Apparently people (and I use the term loosely) are going to clinics to get excuses written while they protest. A nurse at one clinic mentioned...
Here is a link for a different manufacturer that has not been mentioned yet. Wiggy's . These bags are similar to the MSS version. The plus is these are offered in different sizes to fine-tune the fit for the individual person. It's a similar concept; (2) different bag weights that can be...
He's not using the NG against the citizens! They were being prepped to fill in for the necessary union slots that would open up if the union went on strike. Prison guards, etc. He's not proposing martial law for pete's sake!
A few degrees the other way is not much fun either. BTDT. The body can deal with quite a lot of adversity but it doesn't react very well to changes in core temperature. I think this is a good word of caution for those who underestimate the impact of dangers they can unwittingly place...
I've used a similar LAPG bag for the kids car kits. It holds about enough stuff for stranded on the road emergencies for 3-5 days, depending on how they make do. The bags seem to be doing OK so far. For the price, you can't go wrong.
Also have a Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon-II for my truck bag...
If I remember correctly, the WD in WD-40 stands for water dispersant. That being the case it may explain why it seemed to do a decent job at holding corrosion at bay.
I would have like to have seen Eezox and WeaponShield also.
Overall I'd give this guys test a thumbs up for using corrosion...
I've got an idea. How about selling pre-filled Nalgene bottles for about 4x the cost? My grandfather always said, the best way to get rich is to sell something no one needs.:D
The water in the bottles is different.
People paying a premium for something they could get from a fountain or a faucet is nuts. Why don't they just buy their own Nalgene bottle and carry it with them?
