      2024 Groundhogs

Any farm store should carry them. I got mine from Rural King. Make sure that you also pick up the "setting device". I've got the No2 trap and once set, place the trap right over the hole

      Lever Action Prices

I wanted a lever in .45-70 or .44 mag and looked at prices and they were selling for way more than I wanted pay. I did buy one and ended up with a nice Rossi R92 in .44 mag for $400 (used and private sale) and it is a good shooter. The action is fairly smooth and shoots well. I just picked up...

      Cursed day of testing/zeroing guns

I did the same thing and what an ammo saver and headache preventer it has become. I've even used it for iron sights on rifles and pistols.

      2024 Groundhogs

Best groundhog gun I've had. Took this guy from in front of the house by the road. Farmer put in a new drain tile 2 years ago and I've seen this guy a couple if times this year but I've always been pulling in the drive and he takes off for his hole.

      2024 Groundhogs

I've mentioned this a time or two. In instances where they are very timid and I don't have much of a chance at good shots I prefer conibear traps set over the entrance of the hole as it is instant death and no chance of the groundhog tearing up your live traps. I've had raccoon and groundhogs...

      Sober but arrested for DUI?

When you see things like this I'd like to see the officer serve the same length of time in jail of those that were falsely accused and jailed

Want/need a thermal scope as coyotes are getting bold

Get a donkey to run with your horses. Coyotes will stop. I use an ATN x-sight 4k day/Night scope. With the standard IR I can see out to 250 yards very clearly. You can buy them new for $699 and can find them cheaper if you shop around.

      2024 Groundhogs

One of my neighbor's name is Richard Cranium.... I wonder if they are related LOL Conibear traps work well for making them DRT but there is a need of caution if kids can get close to the traps as they will break an arm easily

      2024 Groundhogs

130 yard shot with crosswind blowing at 15-20 mph. I've been trying to shoot this one for week but he was very skittish. Could get a really clear shot through the dead wood and had to wait until he was between branches. Mr. Groundhog, meet Mr. Remington

      A Milestone Reached

Congratulations on the retirement! I'm 820 days away from retirement and I will be 70 then. I am also holding off due to health insurance reasons and waiting until the wife hits 66 yrs 10 months for her retirement (she's 3 years younger than me).

Can they stop me in the county court house ?

Makes me think about the Noble county annex. They used to have a gun buster sign on the door and it is gone and now they have just a "no knives" sign on the door. You still have to go through a metal detector but I'm wondering what would happen if I walk through it and the deputy were to wand me...

      Scopes for pellet rifles

I've got a Ruger Impact Max .22 pellet rifle that I bought and it has a rail mounted on it and also has iron sights. What would be a good scope to put on it for ground squirrels and rabbits around our garden and yard? I'm not wanting to buy anything high end but would like something that will...
