And this is why the single seasons of 1883 and 1923 make things so much easier. Disappointed in Costner. He made a commitment to fans and he is failing them…Now we may not even get the second half of season 5 until 2024? **** that, too much other stuff to watch.
Must be rough, *****ing about only 1.2 million an episode. Thanks Kevin.

His personal ranch makes the Yellowstone look like a typical farmhouse.I don't think he is too worried about making more money at this point. Google says his net worth is between $250-300 million. I really wish he would stay though, because I really like the show and agree that it is some of his best work.

All of that aside shouldn’t have signed up for the job then….?I don't think he is too worried about making more money at this point. Google says his net worth is between $250-300 million. I really wish he would stay though, because I really like the show and agree that it is some of his best work.
I don't know, maybe? I'm not really a "fan" of anyone but I do enjoy certain actors more than others. I usually lose interest in a series if key cast members are replaced or they die off.All of that aside shouldn’t have signed up for the job then….?
I agree, but in his defense, it has been five years. I can't say I am willing to commit to be at my current job five years from now.All of that aside shouldn’t have signed up for the job then….?
When you get back to watching TV you should give 1883 and 1923 a try. I actually like them both better than Yellowstone. I especially liked 1883, but they say so far there are no plans for a second season.I have been away now for so long that I am probably done. The last season was good so it's a good note to end on. He's the governor now, fine. Probably just more of the same drama I imagine.
I'm good at this point. I may check out the prequel and sequel at some point but heading into warmer weather, I watch very little TV.
Not only are there no plans, as I read, there never were plans by the creators. 1883, 1923, and maybe another or so were envisioned by the creators as prequel one season stories, any “plans” for more was likely front office leaks designed to pressure the creator team to make more. When you get back to watching TV you should give 1883 and 1923 a try. Wow if 1923 doesn’t have a second season then I change my mind I do not like that show…. Lol the story was incomplete. 1883 atleast ended. Not only are there no plans, as I read, there never were plans by the creators. 1883, 1923, and maybe another or so were envisioned by the creators as prequel one season stories, any “plans” for more was likely front office leaks designed to pressure the creator team to make more.
And as history has shown us, when the creators are done it is done, no matter how much money they may throw at them and if they succumb to that pressure, the shows are not good. I give you Godfather III as the poster child…
Gotcha I understood it as he signed a new contract every season.I agree, but in his defense, it has been five years. I can't say I am willing to commit to be at my current job five years from now.
I stand corrected, seems TS has decided to continue it.Wow if 1923 doesn’t have a second season then I change my mind I do not like that show…. Lol the story was incomplete. 1883 atleast ended.
Glad you’re wrong.I stand corrected, seems TS has decided to continue it.
“Season two, Sheridan told Deadline, is really "the second half" of season one, and will wrap up the story. He explained, "This one is different than 1883 where I had the whole thing blocked out in my head. This one, I had no idea what I was going to do. I just went on a journey myself and I’m the one that made the call to the network, which is probably the greatest call they ever got. Hey, I need to make more episodes to finish this story. I need to do this in two blocks. An eight episode block and a second eight episode block to wrap this up. I can’t wrap it up in two episodes and do the story justice. For them, it is great because they get more content. For me, I get more runway."
