Ah, okay. That would explain why I wasn't familiar with it. I hardly ever get down to old town Greenwood. That would be Greenwood's "Meridian St.
That is a very good ice cream stand and has been there for ever. The stand is on Meridian just south of Main St.Ah, okay. That would explain why I wasn't familiar with it. I hardly ever get down to old town Greenwood.
Unfortunately, it will be mostly driving. We will only be there a couple of days and then come back. I will be on unpaid vacation for all but a couple of days. 4 or 5 days each way if weather is good. I guess we are taking the 89 suburban so she will hit 100k sooner than I had planned. I am a little past 95k now.stock on supplies in Colorado and you can be mellow for the rest of the trip sounds like you have the home front covered, so no worries and safe travels, take some time to enjoy yourselves.
Thanks Greg! Looks like Susan's friend, her husband and the grandkids are all going tomorrow (they won't have the kids on Sunday), so it will just be a matter of whether Susan want's to get out in the cooler weather.DD, I just checked and their last day for the season is Oct. 31.
Good sandwiches also!
We are figuring a grand for gas. We can sleep in it needed. We can also take coolers for snacks and such.given the gas mileage on that beast you might want to look into a rental car, some used to have unlimited mileage deals. My son did that once with a friend when they drove out to Colorado
He won't do the train. He did that years ago and said it was not good.Or two days on a train watching the countryside roll by.
And no miles on the truck.
I'm planing the same thing.Well that is discouraging. I have thought about taking a train trip out west.
He's got that new night vision outfit doesn't he? You guys could use it to look out the windows at night. He said that it was mostly views of back yards and run down areas. Scenic areas seemed to all be during the night when you couldn't see anything.
