I cannot believe how quick it was. S&W doesn't realize how much this one repair has affected their business. Not only will I be a lifelong S&W customer, but I will do my best to persuade customers to buy their products as well.

S&W makes some of the finest revolvers out there.
Not much on their Semi's but love the wheel guns.

Any blade suggestions for a first timer, JD?

I'd start out with Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum blades. MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE MADE IN INDIA, NOT RUSSIA. The Indian blades are sharp, but won't cut a beginner up too badly.

After you become skilled with your razor, buy Feather blades. They are by FAR the sharpest and most high quality blades available. Feathers come from Japan.

It has been years since I ran one of these over my face. Had no idea they were still available.

Shaving with a double edged safety razor both saves money and causes less irritation. DE razors are surging in popularity. Vintage razors have doubled in price over the last year or two.
It still doesn't save nearly as much money or prevent nearly as much irritation as growing a beard.

One of my potential jobs will require me to be clean shaven. I am going to look like one ugly fat woman. I haven't been without facial hair since I've been able to grow it.

shaving irritates my face like crazy. Only way I've been able to get by is using a trimmer and run it over my beard(if you want to call it that)...gives me a bit of scruff face while trimming it to look decent(imho).

    Edit: Woohoo, 6500th post.

My jobs and school both require it, but no one seems to say anything or abide by it so I'm gonna give it a go.

Keep in mind that DE blades need changed more frequently than cartridges. I change blades twice per week.

Still has to be cheaper, I assume? Cartridges are outrageous.
