    I had to be clean shaven when involved with industrial Ammonia based refrigeration systems. I was 1st response hazmat trained and had the mask/suit set up. Mask had to seal up to the face or breathing became near impossible in a release situation. Hated to shave daily but the money was so darn good.

    When diving, we put Vasoline on facial hair so masks will seal. I guess you could have gone around with a greasy beard.
