What a bunch of pricks. And yeah that's a pretty stupid reason. I find it hard to believe that they REALLY thought that.
Maybe they have a number of people that they have to send back home each day to show that they're doing they work "keeping the country safe".

No not at all! Everybody needs to vent sometimes. I would be pretty angry too. You handled it better than I probably would have. I have a really ugly temper when I feel like I'm been treated badly...especially when I'm being treated badly for no good reason. Sometimes my mouth works quicker than my brain does and I probably would have ended up in really big trouble.
Yes, I tried my best to remain calm and polite the entire time I was detained and interviewed.
It was actually so ridiculous at times that I wanted to laugh as the whole thing sounded like a farce to me.
One of the officers acted so "bad-ass" thinking that he saved the entire country by bringing me to my plane.
It was quite comical.
I just found a copy of the US Bill of rights that I had in one of my bags ... it was all trashed on the bottom like all my other documents.I think it means a lot ...
I felt bad being more patriotic and respectul than the people who are paid to protect this country's borders.
