Yep...the whole .gov flood insurance/flood plain BS is just that...BS

My grandpa's farm floods EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR. Anytime we get a moderate rain he loses a fair amount of crop. He's even offered to correct the issue at the creek, they won't let him do that, but they also won't put him in a flood plain so he's left holding the bag.

They stroke home owners to build the fund so the ****ing idiots that keep building along the damn rivers that get flooded out can rebuild on our dime.
Land of the free my ****ing a$$

I overpaid for my 1911, so if I sell it I will lose my shirt. It's a nice gun, just not a name brand that everybody wants. Might as well keep it and run it.

You can not always recoup investment. If you hot rod a Rambler that is what you have. It might run like a scalded dog but it is still a rambler.

It runs great and groups well. Mom limes it. Run it.

It is a Gov. program. If it is required then it has to be available. We were put in a flood plain 10 years ago. I have been in this area my whole life and never seen a flood.
$750 a year per house. Due up front and both are due. I took over this responsibility last year when we realized the mortgage companys were placing it and charging me $1250. per house.

    Can you say "Hose Job"
    Wow that sucks man!
yeah when I was shipping for insurance they told me flood was through the govt and only certain areas could even get it. I was surprised that I was trying to pay them for something and they wouldn't take my money. Then I asked for earthquake insurance and the lady pretty much laughed at me. Although we do have quakes and are due for a large one

Oh yeah, I know. We've been through this. Lol

I'm good on guns...for now. Need ammo, training, and practice.

...and maybe a 10/22 set up like RmQ's. Lol

I haven't had a drink all week. Trying not to drink during the week, only weekends. Tomorrow night (after shooting...if I go) will be fun.

yeah I can't remember the last gun I sold that I actually made money on. Doesn't happen for me. Now I try to only pay the amount I know that if I trade or sell it I can break even. Accessories you always lose your ass on.
I just sold an Aimpoint that I had $560 in with the mount. Sold for $400. I didn't care for the mini redicle and I needed the money for a gun. Oh well

I traded my AR-10 for that TRP. Harris By-pod....9 mags....some ammo. I think with what I had invested it was across the board.
