I live in downtown Cleveland right now. We're looking for a second home with at least 50 acres. Something we can get away to for a few months a year. This actually sounds pretty good.

Can I come play at the SD compound??? I promise to do burnouts in the living room and shoot guns through the roof!

I live on 250 acres, keep a small amount around the house out of classified forest. You can't graze animals, log it, or build on it. The local forester comes out every year and inspects it and that's about it. I ride ATV's and hunt or just go walk on the trails.

My only reason for not wanting to do this would be the restrictions that would apply if I ever needed to log it or sell any portion of our property for money after my husband is gone (assuming he goes first since he is older than me). Our property has frontage on two county roads and has the potential to allow for buildable parcels to be divided off without affecting the privacy we have. The parcel with the house is over 40 acres and is less than half of the total acreage.

Once the mbills compound is complete yall will be more than welcome. It'll be a haul, but it'll be worth it
I've already told CM that regardless where we end up that LT6 members will always have a standing invite. I'm retired, the wife is not! It will be the largest man cave in history !

Don't really have neighbors and I do miss a few things about the burbs like handing out candy to kids on Halloween or putting up lights for the holidays. On the plus side I never see anybody deer season and the hunting is great. Get the occasional trespasser out of the HNF during mushroom and ginseng season. Shoot when you want, any direction you want, but I do have a small range setup.
