Actually I have 2 Vicoden in me and it still hurts like hell. The sedative they gave me during the surgery had obviously worn off.

I hope it wasn't long ago you took the vicoden. Maybe it will kick in soon.

Take it easy Sam. It doesn't sound like you are in for a fun day. Pain is no fun and too much Vicodin will probably just make you sick to your stomach. Sleep it off if you can. I remember I scared the hell out of my kids when hubby brought me home from having that surgery. I looked like hell and was crying...took my pills and went to bed. My daughter was 10 and my son was 8, and they were both convinced I was dying. I think it was more traumatic for them than it was for me.

Off I go. I'm not sure meetings are ever fun but this one should only take an hour or so.

They make these decisions based solely off cost not experience. This is one of the reasons I cashed in my chips and left the idiots run the big casino.
If you have some one such as yourself standing there telling them the right way and they do not go there it is on them. It is all about the big year end bonus not about safety or reliability. Kick the can down the road and roll the dice. Makes me ****ing insane.

Everything here is based upon metrics. Unfortunately, some things can't be reliably measured. That doesn't even slow them down. They just invent values so they can show a trend.

Pain killers irritate the hell out of me.

I only take them when my backs against a wall. I don't even like taking Tylenol that often, you learn to live with the pain, although some days my knee screams and I just gotta take something (alieve) to take the edge off.

I did have a really bad infection after a wisdom tooth extraction in Feb, Dentist said everything's healing good, refused to give me antibiotics. 2 weeks later I'm toughing thru the pain till I couldn't walk. Turns out the infection spread and turned to Cellulitis, 4 Percocet and 15 units of morphine couldn't take the edge off of it. Needless to say, I won't let the pain get that bad ever again.
