I think of the old people in the prior generation, most of the men in my family would not be able to take care of themselves at home. My mom's dad wouldn't even make himself a sandwich.

Yep she is. She said it was pretty intense yesterday while Eta was hitting (she's in Bradenton), but when I talked to her this morning things had calmed down and the rain had stopped. I don't know how long she'll be staying down there. I think she's already getting kind of bored staying with her dad. Hopefully she'll have some nice weather so she can go to the beach though.

Agreed. We can do it all, but it does wear on you after a while.
I’m not a big fan of doing laundry for instance, but it gets done.

Got my plans laid out for tomorrow's range session. Taking the 45-70 Enfield, the C308, FN49 (8mm) and my 1911 to try out the drum mag.

Was doing a little searching on the web earlier and I didn't realize that the FN49 was actually the precursor to the FN FAL, and actually operates pretty similarly. Makes sense I guess.
