That engine was never meant to be in that car Rusty.
Th 68 GTA fastback I had back in the day (390) was a nightmare to work on.

I popped holes in the fender wells to get to the back spark plugs passenger side.

I did that on an old Ford Areostar I had. Found some nice rubber grommets to plug the holes when I was done.

A hex head spark plug socket and wrench, a plug socket with attached swivel, and a short piece of rubber hose should get you there fairly easy. Did many on the Shelby 500's, didn't find it all that hard.

Never heard of that on a Mustang, but did on Hemi Cudas.

The Paul Harvey stealership locally would do that. Might have been a way to ramp up the labor on a tune up but they were a performance stealership. Lots and lots of hot Fords rolled into and out of there.

I was somewhat limited on my tools when I had the GTA. An electrician friend had the hole saws and I found some plastic plugs to put into the holes we cut into the fenders. Easy peasy.

Ahhh, Paul Harvey. Goes along with Dave Mason, Chuck Callahan and Bob Catterson

Up thread I mentioned the possibility's of my returning to the Speedway with a group of cars from the "Good-Ole-Days" of racing.
I stopped by the shop today and it was a reunion of sorts with guy's I have not seen in a good while and others I still see often. Good to see them all.

    I was a kid again.....for a minute anyway.

Very early Coyote being lovingly restored.....

    An early McClaren....

Thunderchicken this is for you. Cosworth with the "Big" hair dryer on it......

Why are the gauges clocked in this fashion...????

Early 30's Miller. It has ran 13 500's. More than any other race car. Ever.

    500 miles in here......Yow...

    Tucked back in the corner.....

    So many cool pieces....

    I may be hooked.
