Definitely do it! A buddy of mine did it a couple of years ago and had a ball. The only complaint he had was the lack (perceived) of early iron. Too many late models with AC, power windows and killer stereos. Not enough temperamental early iron with 460 AC and pipes you could hear in the next county!

I saw a lot of it driving up and down 65 last year and in Plainfield and I’d have to agree with him. TONS of late model Camaro’s, Corvette’s, Challenger’s, Mustang’s. I was kinda disappointed.

I’ve heard this. Don’t worry, no AC, power windows or any stereo at all here! Just have a few things that I want to get done before I decide to do it.

Yup. I have friends that run the stuff. It is a bit more work or so it seems.
I put my time in running methanol in the race cars. Pickle them if they are gonna set for a spell. Get-em back out and clear the system, change the oil, plug in the oil heater, put in the hot warm up plugs, get the cold natured SOB fired and warm. Put the race sparklers in it. Hang on.

Not that much to run E-85 I know but screw that.

Better than paying a hundred bucks every time you fill up

They have an event along the Mississippi gulf coast the first week of October we're thinking about doing: https://cruisinthecoast.com/ Looks like fun, low key, bunch of gearheads, casinos, beach, palm trees. . . .what's not to love? The galaxie has a LONG way to go before I'd consider road trippin' it that far but I do have a trailer that'll carry it!

Oh come on. I drove mine to Florida and back in a weekend last year. I barely have an engine!

I have expensive wide band O2 sensor and am done with leaded race fuels. Ethanol for me. I've driven from Indy to Chicago to Norwalk OH (raced, ran tens) and back to Indy all on E85.
