    No. I guess not.

Hmmm...I don't think the database you're querying is a true libertarian database.

No it is Reason magazine. You know Reason? The flagship of libertarianism. Heard of it before?

The organ of libertarianism isn't pure enough for ya or something?

Most of us real libertarians like to think for ourselves. We are individualists. We have no political 'flagship'.

And no, Reason magazine is not pure enough for us.

So if I think my way I'm not thinking for myself?

Generally, it depends. Although, I'll grant that you probably are, many are not thinking for themselves these days.

Many folks simply adopt a way of thinking without much thought, while the only real thinking they do is "thinking" (believing, actually) that they thought themselves to that way of thinking.

Strength of feelings has largely supplanted strength of thought.

3.2% is all that Gary got? Lol. This was to be their big year.

libertarians were so excited that they would be above 5%. I mean not that libertarians care, they would never take the federal matching funds as they are so pure and all.

Good news here for the third parties

Total vote counts for Trump were less than for Romney in 2012
Total vote counts for Hillary greatly less than for Obama in 2012

Libertarians had about 3x as many votes as 2012, Green Party also up

Libertarians gained ballot access in many states, including in Oklahoma. This year getting ballot access in Oklahoma cost 1/10 of their entire budget, so that's a great step.

Libertarianism, the Calvinball of political philosophies.

The Party may be a "Calvinball". The philosophy is not. If the party or the magazine doesn't line up with the philosophy then it's not libertarian.

It's really not that complicated, Kirk. I think that even you could wrap your brain around it if you tried really hard and believed in yourself.

    Yep. Pretty simple and straightforward.

    Why do we hate Liberty?

And, how long did it take two Republican governors to turn another political party into Calvinball?

Has anyone written a definitive bible on libertarian philosophy?
