...I didn't spend a huge amount of time playing the games given you had to go somewhere to play them, but every chance I'd get.

We rode bikes to the big city of Wakarusa, 4 miles, uphill both ways, and blew our quarters in whatever ONE game Cook's Pizza had at the time. Defender, Galaga, and Spy Hunter are the ones I recall.

I was WELL into my teens before I made the shocking realization that places called arcades, that had DOZENS of game, actually existed.

I did learn valuable lessons:
1. Free ball always gets wasted.
