    Thich Nhat Hahn

One of my favorite authors and a man who left the world a better place.

    RIP

“If we are not fully ourselves, truly in the present moment, we miss everything.”

“…there is no birth; there is no death; there is no coming; there is no going; there is no same; there is no different; there is no permanent self; there is no annihilation. We only think there is.”
I had to look that gentlemen up.
The depth that many in this thread have in knowledge and just understanding the ways of things is reflected in so many ways. Like reading this man's works. That would be so far over my head. But 2 of you know of him and followed. I am humbled.
I read as a younger man. Asimov, Heinlen, Norton and other SciFi authors but never found my way into that level of understanding.
    Impressed.

    RIP Thich Nhat Hahn

Smart ! Good job, Big Chief.
Little man managed to upend the ash bucket a few days ago and thank God it was cold ash when he did it. CKW turned her back for a moment and he made a savage move for the bucket and made it. He is a little beast, so I immediately found the fence on amazon and got it headed our way.

And the ash bucket now stays out in the wood room.

We celebrate the life and global, humane influence of #ThichNhatHanh, an ally of Dr. King’s, who died Saturday. Here’s a photo of the two at a news conference in Chicago in 1966. #MLK nominated Thich Nhat Hanh for a Nobel Peace Prize the next year.

"The peace we seek cannot be our personal possession. We need to find an inner peace which makes it possible for us to become one with those who suffer, and to do something to help our brothers and sisters, which is to say, ourselves," Nhat Hanh wrote in one of his dozens of books, "The Sun My Heart."

Home and a whole weekend of nothing but me and the turkeys. And a Pickle of course.

What's good in the hood fellers?

Never heard of this inspirational sounding fellow. Will give it a peep on the morrow. For now, I will continue to bask in my reflection of a damn good day. Quite a morale booster at work.

This reminds me of the time I turned my back to load some dishes. About-face and Evil Kneivel had pushed a chair up to the stove, climbed up the chair, on the stove, and was trying to figure how to get up on the sugar bin to reach the top of the fridge for the candy jar. Thankfully I hit em with the Cheerios that morning and the cooktop was not hot.

They will test us at every turn. It is the way of things.
Little man has discovered he can get to any point in the house on his own and brother he is going walk-about regardless.
And he can get full boogie quickly.
It’s absolutely hilarious to observe him driving the woman folk crazy.

Trying to figure out if you started out with low morals or you misspelled morale?
