I was doing some rearranging in the safe and pulled out a couple of 1911s that have always been a couple favorites....well....

After all these CZ/Wizard/CGW triggers, now I am thinking a couple 1911's need some serious help.

The mouse can take care of them for you. Unless they are those S&W e-series guns. Then he might just give you a funny look.

I did get to run the DW I recently traded H-45 out of.
My take on that one is it does not need much past a couple of hours with the proper stones and papers. It is just a sweet runner. Accurate and never missed a beat. Between my son and I we had to have ran 150 through it.

I hear he will even work on the S&W E series if it is a friend.....:):

Really? He must have one of the exploded parts view work mats of an E-series or he'd never figure out where the extractor goes. The only PC SW I still have is a tack driver it just needs smoothed out.

I've got a Schroeder Bauman that I could like alot if it had better sights and just a tad smoother trigger with a 3 lb or less pull and a Colt BBQ gun that is 5 lbs of rough.

    Morning folks! :coffee:

How tight is the slide fit on the Colt BBQ gun? That's the hardest part to address. CM can probably throw some EGW love it's way and make it really nice.

On a side note, if the Wizard tunes a CZ full of CGW parts, we say that it's been Cajunized. What do we call a 1911 that's been tuned and filled with EGW parts by CM? Evolved? Evolutionized? Evo'd? We need a name for CM's flavor of Koolaide.

The Colt slide fitment is reasonably tight for a Colt production gun but rougher than it should be. It is a "blingy" gun and should have an action as smooth as its polished sides. Oh, and the gold barrel bushing has to go...

88 - Dedication? Nah, buried in the office from vacation, time for a few CZ and CZ-ish gun purchases last week and the Mrs. having a rough couple days. I was more surprised to not see you or WT pages deep by 5 am!
