    Yes, yes we do.

Some how in my warped little brain I see my desires going over to mainly custom builds. With Springfield and RRA selling us out it has become obvious to me that it is all a game fueled by power and greed. I have been a proponent of SA for the last 10 years. Lost track of how many of their new 1911's I have convinced folks to buy.
With this last betrayal in Ill. I have vowed to never ever suggest to or buy for myself a new Springfield product. Done.

There are so many after market offerings out there. Save for CZ's the NITB 1911 world is dead to me.

You and I are arguing the same position. SA and RRA were throwing FFLs under the bus. They got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and the backlash was much worse than they thought it would be. Now, all of the sudden, it isn't their fault, they were misled. Yeah, bull****.

In Defensive Concepts class last week my SA 1911 magazine's plate came off during a magazine change. I called SA and they are sending me a new one.

I'm sure there was misleading involved, and I don't know how far up it goes, but it's still sad

I enjoy my shield, it's a lot of fun to shoot and really easy to carry.

That is what everyone on INGO has said about it. I have a good friend who shot one over the weekend and said it was terrible and would never buy one. Fortunately, I can try one before I buy.

I've only shot my brother's Shield in .40. While I would not call it fun, it wasn't bad and would probably carry well. Now, if it were an all steel CZ, it would rank much higher to me.

I believe that was my friend's perspective. He has gotten spoiled on CZ's and Dan Wesson's.
