The RIA 10mm is a good option for the most budget minded as they have upped their game lately but I really think a checkered front strap would be a great option that would be missed if you were to get one. Jmnsho

I do love front strap checkering, but I've put Talon tape on the front strap on all my 1911's and it's quite effective for a very small cost.

Good pics MM, yellow jackets usually are ill tempered critters. This time of year, the nests in the woods are like land mines.

That 10mm Tisas is tempting. I am getting ready to let my 10mm M&P go and would like to replace it with a good, beater level 10mm 1911. That might just fill that niche if I decide to follow through with the plan.

The M&P has become just another gun in the safe. I like it, but it only gets range time to test changes, like the C&H plate or to zero the optic. My Shield may go too.
