If it wasn’t for five colleges (one more to go), first cars, weddings, surgical copays, family financial assistance, the expense of Sunday dinner for a large family and a few extra guns - I’d be retired now. Lol

Ramsey brings forth some solid ideas and has value but it’s a limited scope approach - from the one or two books I’ve read. If it works for a person's circumstances - Congrats to you! Debt free is amazing!!

This isn’t directed at you but I think we do a poor job of financially educating people in high school and in college.

Saving over consumerism…tomorrow versus today.

You've taken on more responsibililty than most and I cannot comment on how anyone else has made bad choices. I've made more than my share. Thats why at 63, I'm still $18,000 away from debt free.
But if I'd listened to Dave's advice when I first heard it, like taken it seriously, I'd be doing something I enjoy more than trucking. And only because i wanted to.

Taking Daves simple advice has made a lot of people into debt free millionaires with the peace that comes from not worrying about the risks associated with borrowing money. I agree that we need to make our kids more financially literate, but financial success comes from behavior after getting the knowledge.

No, but I do believe in paying down my debt.

I can recommend the debt free scream stories for motivation. Gets me juiced up. I would wish that for all my friends. Just imagine if we had no debts and could come together to shoot and break bread whenever we wished!

Was a great morning in the woods. Cool enough until about 0830.
Chicken of the woods placed to cover .17 Mach2 damage.
2 was all I wanted to clean but there were several more in that hickory tree when I started to sweat and headed in.

I follow a shrinking numbers of sports but was never one to let "my" teams performance affect my mood. Sort of a passive distraction from life for me.

....but my mood would be improved if they fire Boone and Cashman and put bcannon on the hiring committee.

I have…What it cost to fill my truck I can buy 500 rounds of 9mm. Shooting is cheaper than driving anymore….

$300 TMD for $1000 rounds of 9mm. About $100 more than the last time I bought pre-pandemic.
