Just home from a great range trip followed by breaking bread with some fine folks. I'm officially back in the 1911 game. I also picked up my new to me surplus compact. It was listed as having an alloy frame but it is all steel. I was a little disappointed but that passed when I ran a few magazines through it. This one has great potential.

I need a Cajun Pro Package, seven sets of TFX sights and I'm down to just over 9300 rounds of 9mm, 1200 of .40 and 1650 of .45. Plus I need at least two Cerakote jobs and several sets of Hogue grips. :faint:

    Morning all... :coffee:

As are most ranges.... I enjoy the early morning, or weekday trips. They are delightful, now if only I was retired and could enjoy them more. :)

That's when I hit the range the most, 8am on Saturday morning. Great way to get the day going and have plenty of time for other stuff during the day. Best of all, there is rarely a crowd at that time and getting a lane is a breeze :yesway:
