I lucked out late last year when I strolled in to Prairie Creek Pawn in Muncie and doubtfully asked if they had any, only for the owner to reach into a drawer and put two on the counter, asking price $30 each!
It took me all of 5 seconds to whip out my wallet.

At the Valpo gun show there was a 4516-1 with 3 mags for 550, a 457 with one mag for 425 0r 75, a 1006 for 850 with original box and some paperwork, another 4516-1 for 575, a 4006 for 479, a 6904 for 525, a 5946 for 525, and I think there was another but I can't remember the model.

I'm also hoping I get outbid on a 6906 so I can buy a CS9 at a steal of a price.

Talking to a hunting buddy in ND a couple years back about wanting to get a compact 9mm for Da Missus. He said next time he was in town he'd bring one he had in his gun safe. He came back a couple months later to do some pheasant hunting. He handed me a blue gun box, a CS9, along with a 150 rounds of 9mm. He said there was less than 100 rounds through it. Got it for less than a song, and I can't sing. Trying to get extra mags and a Kydex holster is nearly impossible, or $$. I'm on a budget. My EDC is a G27, but I really like shooting the CS9 and would like to have it in my truck as a back up. Might just get a generic nylon holster.

Must be the weather. I was outbid on a 4506 that ended up selling for ~ $900...

The CS9 was selling for 465 shipped with 2 mags. So with my FFL transfer it would of cost me $485 out the door.

The CS9 I was looking to buy if I got outbid on the 6906 was an anomaly as most CS9's are selling on GB for 550-600 base plus shipping and transfer fee. From what I've been looking at for the models I have the prices have slowly been creeping up. I usually have 40-60 completed auctions saved on my GB to look at where prices are going, and I usually have another 10 auctions I watch. The only ones that really fall are when a bunch of police trade ins hit the market mostly in 5906, 5946, 6906 flavors. Those you can still find for under 375 and usually more closer to 325 when they pop up.

Anybody have a B square mount for their 3rd gens? I managed to find one on Ebay maybe 8 months back that I use on my 3906. All I need now is a decent pistol scope. The TRS25 was good to go but would like to try something different.

Nope....I've only got a couple 3rd gens and a few leftover parts/pieces and holsters. Trying my best to replace the ones I parted with years ago. 39/3913/5906/4506/1006....well I never had a 1006 but I want one!

In all seriousness though, would the barrels from different variations interchange? I would think they would.

I know Smith stopped making 3rd gens years ago except for a run for police departments here and there but I wish they'd bring back the 3913. At least in limited special runs. Then we'd have new spare parts also hopefully.
