Is that a smooth frontstrap? I thought I remembered my old one having serrations on the front.
It is but it's also the value series so some corners were cut. You might be thinking of the 4516

I came across these 5906's today being sold by Buds as new/used/display guns. They have front slide serrations and what look like slide ball cuts on the front. A poster on another forum said they called Smith and was told a production time of 2009. Anybody know what these are?

Wow! I missed that somehow. That is pricey but for an all stainless NIB 5906 it's not bad too bad.
I wonder if the followers and springs in the mags be changed to make them a 15 round?
Do you recall the NIB surplus guns that sold a few years back? Don’t recall the model or the price but seems like they ended up at $850 and were 5906s????
Memory - second thing to go.

There were some 3953TSW and 3914DAO that were NIB a couple years ago, I managed to snag one of both.
I've been debating unloading my 45ACP and 10mm 3rd Gens. I just don't shoot often enough anymore to keep the money tied up in them. Then I went on gunbroker and saw what 10mm magazines are selling for, and I'm sitting on a fortune there too.

Man look at the disgrace done to an otherwise excellent CS9

Wow, and they still want $450 for it!
For the right price I would buy it and send it back to S&W to be refinished.
Unless you got anything other than a 457 or 4506-1
Only 45's I've got is a CS45 and a two-tone 457. I'd probably hold onto my 1086 and sell the 1076. Outside of that, I'll probably dump a bunch of my 1911's, given the chance. At this point, I just don't shoot enough to make it worth keeping everything I've got, plus priorities in life changed. I realized that while I "collected" guns, I didn't have a true collection, just a bunch of guns I've bought. Trying to downsize and focus the collection is the way forward for me, IMO.
I don't believe plastics will ever increase in value once manufacturing ends.

The only exception I can think of is a 1st gen Glock.
Im pretty sure the CZ Phantom has increased in price, if the increase will remain is yet to be seen.
Awesome gun. I won’t let the opportunity go by to show mine off. Lol.
It’s sporting a 45 can but I have a Ti rant 9m in jail for it.
