The issue with providing western equipment to non NATO nations.

Our equipment is standardized so a UK supply dude can issue equipment based on a NSN. The radios are compatible.
A US guy can read a manual in English and work on a German vehicle. Our ammo is interchangeable. And on and on.

Ivan and Igor fixes most things with a hammer.

    So....

What is going on with the southern border?
What is going on with inflation?
What is going on with interest rates?
What is going on with a mentally impaired executive?
What is going on with supply chain issues resulting from .gov shut downs?
What is going on with a never ending .gov deficit?
What is going on with boundless .gov spending?
Whats going on with 19 Republicans signing into law Federal Red Flag Gun Control? (One from IN)
The list won't stop until we are a 3rd world poverty stricken nation sadly.

“Fixes” is a bit generous isn’t it? “Make it work for a bit” is more appropriate

    Interesting take...

What he should be afraid of is the same thing that brought down the USSR and Warsaw Pact. The man with the gun simply refuses to shoot the people he is told to shoot. When that happens, all power is lost.

Thankfully.. Nato has a lot of former Warsaw Pact, some former Soviet SSRs that still retain stashes of arms and ammo dating from that period.

Everything from Mig fighter jets down to AKs in 5.45. It is a lot of that sort of equipment. That has been sent.
Have a look at the weapons in Ukraine thread and you will see a lot of it.

Now there has been a lot of western make ATGMs sent, but those are fairly self contained.

There's a picture floating around of Gorbachev's last visit to the DDR where he's standing with Eric Honecker and talking about the change that's coming to a cheering crowd. The look of outrage, hate, and fear on Honecker's face was priceless. He knew that the men with the guns that had kept him in power for so long were now beyond his control.

Anyone else have their morning gmail pre-empted by a, "WANNA GIVE $$$ TO UKRAINE???" window?

When everyone steamrolls to a cause to this degree, something stinks. And it ain't the Pripet marshes. Or should I say Прыпяцкія балоты, for all the Redditors out there, since we're bein' real?

Wish they had some A10s. Man, they could tear up those conveys
Wish they had any planes. The order whole Air Force got taken out in the opening salvo. That’s why Poland was talking about giving them some migs.

Don’t have the story handy but it’s now coming out that they didn’t want to do a direct transfer because Russia would attack them if they did. They wanted the US to be liable.

Some of our Communist (AKA Democrat) servants (and others of the uni-party) would be well to remember this as well.
