That looks just like my old rifle except mine had a stainless receiver...

Wow, that looks like a 1/4" NPT compression fitting!
Any effect on accuracy?
I had a pretty good target hit yesterday with a Browning t-bolt. Zero was dead on at 25 yards. Groups were one ragged hole using Wolf Match target ammo.
I did a little internet research, plugging in everything I could find on that load into Strelok Pro, then tweaking the velocity up to account for the t-bolt's 22" barrel (just barely sub-sonic).
Come-up calculated to 26.75 MOA for 200 yards.
Dialed that into the Vortex 3-12x42 and placed a cold bore single head shot into a 3"x4.5" target.
PING!
HUZZAH!
I wish I had video.

My dad's J.C. Higgins bolt action was at one time equipped with WCF/Savage 150 peep sight. The mount is still attached to the rifle but that's it. I've been trying to track one down with little luck. Gun Parts Corp has most of the pieces, but not all of them.
Any idea on where to get one? I've been checking eBay and other sights occasionally with little luck.
Here's the sight.
Have you tried Numrich..(Sp)
I helped instruct at a Revere's Riders private basic rifle event last week. After day 1 was over, UL & I brought out an old ~1958 Mossberg 152 that I picked up from another INGO user here.
After testing zero, then fixing the sight, we laid down some 2-3 MOA groups.
The ol' gal shoots pretty good with CCI. That's the only ammo we tried.
Target was 25 yards, unsupported, sling only.

I recently put this Kidd Supergrade 10/22 together. I was able to test some Eley Tenex and Lapua Midas + earlier this year. It's a shooter for sure. Overall weight is 7lbs 5 oz. The barrel, alone, weighs 49oz!
Naaah ... Hop cheats ... he knows all about the secret sauce that makes accurate rifle shooting possible. Thanks! Love it when range pics are posted!
Shooting with a 1958 rifle, w/o a rest & with iron sights:
You must have 20 yr. old eyes & shooting with no wind that day!
