    A perfect feedback loop, people with lowered abilities elect leadership that expands on that vacuum. It creates an ever growing constituency of the dependent to keep them in power. The endless, monolithic, electorate, pulling blue levers forever.

    All that is missing are the macoutes and I don't think that is far in the future.

    Off the top of my head I can't think of anything the Federal government does that is beneficial to the country...

    15 years ago I would have stood up for the military. After a long list of debacles, I'm firmly in the camp that senior military leadership sucks.
