To be fair to the ribeye, I have never bought and cooked a good one. My experience with them was a lot of plant cookouts where we bought them in bulk. There was a budget and I'm sure they weren't the best.
It is one of the better cuts of meat. Very flavorful. Many people are turned off by the fat on it though.

I too prefer the ribeye. The meat market in St John used to have good ones, but it seems like for the last year or so they've not been as good. Nowadays I usually stick with pork tenderloin or pork steak with BBQ sauce. For the price of beef, I don't like to have to guess if it's going to be good or not.

Been away from the board for a while, but you guys have been busy! I'll have to catch up so I can correct you all where need be.

In other news, the Mother's Day gift was reported lost and I requested a refund. Maybe they'll show up? Had to reorder and pay for shipping. The saga continues.

In other news, her custom birthday present arrived along with Dad's custom present.

Ordered some caterpillars for the kid to watch them go through metamorphosis and release some pollinators into this area. 10 candidates, but it's a start.

Won't turn down too many steaks, but
I choose ribeyes over filets or strips. Just not ribeyes over filets AND strips. Porterhouse all the way! Quantity=Good

My next door neighbor just sold their house and is moving to a plot on county line road south of Hobart and north of 30. His first "project" is to build a berm for a 200 yd range. That should work.
