And they just took my trainee out in the ambulance.
He says he just tripped hit his head.
Others said he had a seizure.

    Looks like a seizure.
He's going to be out awhile.

This week we'll cover the shift with overtime. So much for the "No Overtime" they said was ironclad.
Now they're trying to figure out how to cover the shift next week.
Higher management still thinks the Motor Inspectors can do the job, and don't undertake the problem.
The problem being, no one did any of the training.. because everyone was already on overtime. And the boss wasn't going to generate more.
The younger guys that went through the new craft training probably are the closest. They had a LOT of training in their craft. And a couple weeks in my craft.
    A couple weeks. Hah.
When I hired, it took a 2 year degree, OR 5 years experience in the craft of Instrumentation.
That was just to get your foot in the door as a C Rate Electronics Tech.
Then a test for B Rate.
Then a test for A rate.
Then a test for Systems Repair.
A few classes on the way.
    And a lot of experience.

Now, that new class must be something, since a few weeks replaced all that.
    :)

Anyway, the new guy "in his 60s" is awaiting test results, and doctors advice.
    Which will take awhile.

Dkaufman works at a shop in Lake Station, I believe they do more than trannies.

In CP I use DWR on Main St., behind Oil Exchange. When I managed a small fleet of vehicles we used them and I use them for my personal vehicles. If you go there they know me as Dale, from DonLevy Labs.

2007 Santa Fe Brake pads and rotors on all four corners and a caliper replaced on a rear wheel.

ADDED: Estimate from the dealer was almost $2000

I will take a look. Thanks.

If you want to get me engine size, and if it's 2wd or awd, I can get you a quote. Also if you know which caliper it is you need(Front or rear) thatd be helpful as well

Only thing is I couldn't get you in the shop till Thursday or Friday. I've got a couple transmissions I'm building right now and then have to reinstall them yet

Thanks ... and thanks everyone. The kid decided to go with Pete & Sons in CP.

I'm hoping he listens to me next time about not letting "little noises, squeaks, grindings, and wobbles" go unchecked. They don't go away and the problem doesn't get better.

Yea. Side work usually works out great both for mechanic and customer.

I can save you hundreds/thousands while I'm still making a ton of money.

****.... I've made mortgage payments in the evenings...
